Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Jillian Dykhouse. I started out my career as a journalist, earning a B.A. in journalism from SMU, and then working as a freelance journalist around the DFW area post-graduation.
I then moved to New York City to attend graduate school at Columbia University, earning an M.F.A. in creative writing. After graduation, I moved onto the path of copywriting and digital marketing, working on everything from vacation packages to Mexico to SAT awareness campaigns.
I moved back to Texas in 2011 to be closer to my family, where I continued my path upward in digital marketing. Realizing I needed to be thinking about problems more from a business perspective (combined with my already developed creative thinking), I earned my M.B.A. from the University of Texas, graduating in 2017.
My marketing passions lie in combining data-driven insights with testing, SEO, and content strategy to create a seamless user experience for prospects. Giving users what they want, when they want it increases engagement and conversions.
I live with my wonderful husband, Chris, and our fur babies Sophie, Beans, Alexis Rose, and Bisous. I love exploring different cultures around the world on my travels, finding new restaurants and cultural activities around Texas, working in my garden, and creating new recipes that my husband happily samples.
